Public Speaking Key A: Program Details
Public Speaking Key A is one of our communication skills classes for kids, designed to strengthen public speaking and writing abilities while building confidence for academic success. Through structured practice and engaging activities, students learn to present ideas clearly and confidently using appropriate volume, eye contact, and body language.
The course emphasizes clear expression in both speaking and writing. Students practice writing effective topic sentences, supporting ideas with details, and incorporating vivid language to strengthen communication. Instruction also encourages students to speak both with and without preparation in front of peers, helping them develop confidence in a variety of speaking situations.
Sample class materials include descriptive speech exercises that use sensory details to help students vividly convey experiences, expand vocabulary, and improve communication clarity. The course fosters self-assurance, expressive thinking, and strong foundational communication skills that support classroom participation and future academic success.
