Speech & Debate Key A: Program Details
Speech and Debate Key A is one of our foundational debate classes for kids, designed to develop persuasive speaking, argumentation, and communication skills through structured debate and speech activities. The course supports both ELA development and introductory debate practice in a collaborative, confidence-building environment.
Students learn core debate and speech concepts, write persuasive material, and engage with classmates’ arguments while improving verbal delivery and body language. Instruction emphasizes constructing clear claims, supporting ideas with logical reasoning, and communicating effectively on real-world topics such as science, technology, news, and culture.
Sample class materials introduce students to multiple speech introduction styles, including storytelling, asking questions, and sharing facts to engage audiences. Activities focus on building critical thinking, teamwork, and public speaking confidence while helping students express ideas clearly and persuasively across academic contexts.
