The SAT (Scholastic Assessment Test) and ACT (American College Testing) exams are known for being key components of the college application process. Many parents and students alike confront a common question: when is a good time to begin test preparation?
The answer is simple: test preparation starts from BEFORE students even need to think about when to sign up for their exam. They need to develop their foundational skills in reading, writing, reasoning, deduction, and many more as early as they can in their academic journey. The SAT/ACT is used as a glimpse into the students ability to use the skills mentioned before and how well they can demonstrate their academic experience; the test itself is nothing but a way for students to put their academic capabilities on paper for examiners to evaluate. With that being said, many parents wonder how can students begin this journey if it starts from the moment they begin school?
Here at iLearn we develop our curriculum to not only tackle the scholastic aspect such as reading/writing level, vocabulary, essay structures, etc., we also burgeon their comprehensive skills. Comprehensive skills encompass the intellectually disciplined process of actively and skillfully conceptualizing, applying, analyzing, synthesizing, and/or evaluating information generated by, observation, experience, reflection, reasoning, or communication, as a guide to belief and action. We aim to sharpen their critical-thinking, argumentative, and ideation skills so that they will be successful in whatever career path they choose to journey on.
For our students who have their exams quickly approaching, our specialized SAT/ACT classes will help them enter the test confidently through practice problems, personalized teaching, and assessments.
