Three Award Winners at the Roosevelt Elementary SPAR Tournament!

At the Roosevelt Elementary SPAR Tournament on October 13th, we had three iLearn students who received awards for their exemplary performance at the competition! We sent 7 students to this tournament for their very first competition in this academic year, and 3 of them earned placements—what an accomplishment! We’re excited for more surprises and achievements in the upcoming competition in November and December.

In our SPAR and Debate classes, we center our focus on developing the students roundly. Our Speech & Debate instructors not only teach students the strategies and structures that would win debates, but also the execution and delivery of their arguments. Here at iLearn, we pride ourselves on creating excellence in every aspect and detail, which is what helps our students compete at the highest level even if it is their first time!

Speech & Debate is a growing extracurricular for not only improving student's public speaking skills, but also their critical thinking, analysis, listening, research, and leadership skills. Not only can students earn accolades in competitions, the skills and knowledge they learn through practicing any sector of Speech & Debate translates to any avenue they pursue in the future.
