Integrated Reading and Writing 4–5 A is one of our reading and writing classes for kids, that helps students deepen literary understanding, strengthen writing skills, and build critical thinking through close reading, novel study, and structured text-based responses.

Integrated Reading & Writing 4–5 A: Program Details
Integrated Reading and Writing 4–5 connects reading and writing to deepen literary understanding and strengthen written communication. Through the analysis of key novels, students will explore themes, character development, and narrative structure while developing critical thinking and academic writing skills. This reading enrichment program emphasizes thoughtful discussion, text-based responses, and writing strategies to support clear and confident expression across academic contexts. Includes a 9-novel book list: Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes, Number the Stars, Holes, Bridge to Terabithia, The Mysterious Benedict Society, Island of the Blue Dolphins, Hatchet, The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe, and A Wrinkle in Time.
