Academic Writing 4–5A is one of our writing classes for kids designed for upper elementary students, helping 4th–5th graders strengthen persuasive, research-based, and narrative writing skills through advanced instruction, peer collaboration, and structured practice that prepares them for middle school rigor.

Academic Writing 4-5A Narrative, Persuasive, Research: Program Details
Academic Writing 4–5A is an advanced after school writing program challenges students beyond traditional classroom expectations. Through personalized instruction, peer collaboration, and in-depth projects, students develop strong skills in persuasive writing, research based writing, and narrative storytelling.
The curriculum builds confidence, critical thinking, and creativity while preparing students for the demands of middle school writing and beyond.
Instruction includes persuasive communication, research writing, and narrative writing, with analysis techniques, biography and invention reports, MLA style introductions, and revision practice. Students complete weekly writing assignments, receive personalized teacher feedback, participate in peer review sessions, and engage in guided revision. Assessment focuses on content, structure, language use, and creativity.
