Reading and Writing

Early literacy reading and writing classes that build strong readers, confident writers, and capable communicators.

Building Strong Readers and Writers from the Start

The Reading and Writing Learners program is designed to give young students a strong foundation in early literacy. Through structured phonics instruction, guided reading, and hands-on writing activities, students develop the core skills needed for long-term academic success.

In each class, students practice decoding sounds, recognizing sight words, and applying comprehension strategies to understand what they read. Writing is introduced gradually starting with sentence formation and descriptive language so students learn to express ideas clearly and confidently.

By integrating reading, writing, and discussion, this program supports both literacy development and communication skills, helping students build confidence as learners from the very beginning.
