Reading & Writing Learners 2: Program Details
Reading and Writing Learners 2 is one of our phonics classes for kids, designed to help Kindergarten learners build a strong foundation in early literacy. By the end of this course, students will be able to decode and encode long vowel phonograms with growing accuracy and fluency. They will expand their sight word vocabulary and apply early reading comprehension strategies to understand and discuss simple texts.
Students will begin writing descriptive sentences, using basic grammar concepts such as nouns, verbs, and adjectives. Through engaging activities and storytelling, they will also explore key story elements including characters, setting, and plot, laying the foundation for both strong reading and creative writing skills.
Sample class materials use characters like Pete the Cat to teach physical and personality traits, while activity materials help students describe characters using clues from stories to support their ideas.
