Integrated Reading & Writing 2

Monday 4:00pm - 5:30pm

Integrated Reading and Writing 2 is one of our reading and writing classes for kids, helping students deepen reading comprehension, expand vocabulary, and strengthen writing skills through close reading, literary analysis, and structured response writing in an engaging after school reading program.

Integrated Reading & Writing 2: Program Details

Integrated Reading & Writing 2 is an after school reading program and one of our core reading and writing classes for kids, designed to integrate reading and writing skills to strengthen comprehension and written expression. The course focuses on close reading, literary analysis, vocabulary development, and structured response writing to support academic growth.

Students build critical thinking skills as they analyze texts, expand vocabulary, and learn to express ideas clearly in writing. By the end of the course, students become confident readers and writers equipped with the skills needed for academic success and effective communication.

The course includes a curated seven-novel book list featuring Fantastic Mr. Fox, Time Warp Trio, Sarah, Plain and Tall, Henry Huggins, The BFG, My Father’s Dragon, and The Wild Robot.
