Week 2 Monetary Matters
Despite the importance of finacial literacy, most children are not taught how money works. In Monetary Matters, students will learn fundimental finacial lessons through debate and discussion. We will consider topics such as, how currency holds value, how markets work, should America keep the nickle, and should the economy go cashless. Students will have the opportunity to debate about safe vs risky investments, if and when people should get credit cards, and more. Monetary Matters is a straight forward introduction to how money works in the 21st century using current events as an opportunity for to think critically about finance while improving one's confidence while speaking.

Week 3 Crypto Concepts
Cryptocurrency is now an established part of the global economy. But few kids understand how the blockchain, tokens, and crypto investment actually work. Students will learn about the rise of cryptocurrency and how it is distinct from traditional currency, debate its benefits against risks in a portforlio, and develop an improved understanding regarding investment and finance. Goverments, investment firms, and the public all have a part to play in crypto, and through speeches and debate, students will learn about this new facet of the economy while developing their verbal confidence and writing skills.

Week 4 Future Technology
The global race for the fastest and most powerful processors is pushing economies, nation states, and even the laws of physics, to their limit. Everyone uses computers in their daily lives, but few people understand how their computers and developed and work. Students will be introduced to chip production, learn about the titans of technology such as NIVIDA, AMD, Apple, and TSMC, and absorb that knowlege by presenting what they learned. Whether your child is an aspiring engineer, or just interested in how the computers that run their favorite games work, Future Technology will be a fun and educational experience.

Week 5 AI Discourses
AI is used by adults and children, companies and individuals, alike. But for most people, the technology is largely a mystery. AI Discourses looks to introduce students to what AI is, its limitations, strengths, and applications. Students will read and discuss current events as a lense to better understanding AI and it uses. Could AI become super intelligent? Why do scientists use AI models for genetics? What jobs could AI do or not do? Is there an AI bubble? By the end of the week, your child will have a fundimental understanding of artificial intelligence and a better communicator as well.

Week 6 Energy Blueprints
Every day, electricity is distributed over six hundred thousand miles of wire to our homes and buisnesses in the US. However, most people do not consider how this is done. This is about to change. Energy production and distribution is becoming more important than ever with the rise of complex computing and the turn to green energy. In Energy Blueprints, students will discover projects such as the Three Gorges Dam in China, AI data centers in the US, and wind farms in Europe to learn, discuss and debate about the future of energy. Students will prepare speeches on cutting edge technology such as lithium batteries and geothermal power while learning to communicate with their fellow students through public speaking.

Week 7 Geostrategy and Politics
To succeed in the world today, it is key for countries to have access to trade, resources, and technology. This global competition is changing day by day. In Geostrategy and Poltics, students will be introduced to concepts such as resource extraction, tarrifs, and investment in the context of the global geopolticial struggle. Nations are looking to produce the best microchips, access gold and platinum for computing, and access the oil that makes this trade possible. With this straightforward introduction to current international events, students will be encouraged to think big while preparing speeches on topics such as tourism, trade, and immigration.

Week 8 World Adventures
Why would someone sail on a wooden ship around the world for cinnamon? Why is Paris the most visited city in the world? In World Adventures, Students will enjoy lessons about the how and why people travel, both in the past and today. With history, economics, and current events, students will explore some of the most interesting places on earth. World Adventures will allow students to experience the world by preparing their own travel portfolios and presenting their work. They will get to debate about the best vactation destinations, learn about the wonders of the world, and discuss the age of exploration. World Adventures will help improve your child's confidence while giving them an appriciation of the wider world.

Week 9 21st Century Marketing
The question of, "What makes for successful marketing?" is tied deeply to the question "How do you reach and persuade an audience?" For this reason, communication and marketing are both incredibly important to any individual or brand. In Twenty First Century Marketing, Students will try their own hand and speech and marketing by learning how to do a sales pitch, learning about the keys to perusasion, and debating about their own ideas and strategies. This fun introduction to marketing concepts through public speaking will look at companies such as Hasbro, Lego, Roblox, and Disney to see how some of their favorite companies and people use marketing and communication.
